HARRIS, Lloyd F., age 86, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015. Mr. Harris was born November 30, 1928, in Dickson County, Tennessee, to Blake Leech Harris and Artie Mai Taylor Harris. He was a member of the Petway Church of Christ, a logger, a farmer, County Magistrate for 14 years (1952-1966); Circuit Court Clerk for 24 years (1966-1990); Soil Conservationist for 50 years; Executive Director of Community Progress Association since 1972 (Oak Manor Apartments); Founder of Farm Bureau of Ashland City, Tennessee; owner of Lloyd Harris Bonding Company; former owner of Armstrong Pie Company in Centerville, Tennessee; and owner of H&W Sawmill and Lumber Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, Blake Leech and Artie Mai (Taylor) Harris and a brother, Herbert Leech Harris. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jennie Ruth (Reed) Harris; son, Lloyd Michael Harris, Sr.; daughter, Jennie Dolores Harris Moulton; brother, Hardin Howard Harris; sister, Doris Beatrice Read; five grandchildren, Jamie Franklin (Dana) Moulton, Lloyd Michael Harris, Jr; Jennie D'andrea (Cory) Felts, Summar (William) England, Tonya (Mikey) Davis; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Myles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the White/Reed Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Moulton, Blake Moulton, Frankie Moulton, Willard Reed, Wayne Bruce, and Cory Felts. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Harris, Jr, Richmond Lee Flowers, Michael Harris III, Seth Cooper Moulton, and Kaleb Ryan Barker. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 3pm to 7pm; Monday, May 4, 2015, from 11am to 1pm and 3pm to 7pm; and Tuesday, May 5, 2015, 11am to 1pm.
