LINDA FAY SUITER COMBS, age 72, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Linda was born August 10, 1944, in Hope Mills, North Carolina, to the late Robert Dudless Byrd and Esther Bristow Byrd. She worked as an accounting clerk for the State of Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, Harold Suiter; siblings, infant sister, Lucille Byrd; stillborn infant boy, Ruby Anderson, and Jearolean Williams. She is survived by her husband, Fred E. Combs; son, Edd (Paula) Suiter; daughters, Redonna Suiter and Pansy Lynn Pardue Leech; stepson, Fred E. Combs, Jr.; brother, Robert L. (Betsy) Byrd; sister, Joan (John) Hart; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. At Linda's request, no services are planned.
