SWAFFORD, Leona Laverne, age 76, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016. She was born to Dewey F. Puckett and Ada Maggie Felts Puckett in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on July 1, 1939. She retired from Krystal Hamburgers as a waitress. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Puckett and Ada Felts; husband, Nathan Eugene Swafford, Sr.; sons, Nathan "Jimmy" Swafford, Jr, Jeffery Swafford and Robert "Tony" Swafford; brothers and sisters, Elmer Puckett, Elizabeth Peacher and Frances Goode. She is survived by her son, Thomas Wayne Jones; daughters, Pamela Darlene (John) Stokes, Vickie (Ronnie) Turner and Brenda (Wendell) Hampton; brother, Rufus Puckett; nephew, Johnny Goode; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, June 13, 2016, at 11:30am in the chapel with Brother Dave Werner officiating. Burial will follow in Swafford Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 3pm to 7pm, Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday from 9am until service hour of 11:30am.
