Mrs. LaVerne Allen Lynn, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2016, at Alive Hospice Madison Campus.
Mrs. Lynn was born January 29, 1929, in Model, Tennessee, in Stewart County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Amelia Futrell Allen. She was a school teacher early in her career. Also worked at Columbia Recording Studios and Custom Mastering until she retired at the age of 65.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin, Lewis, and W.C. Allen and also a grandson, Hunter Lynn.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Lynn; sister, Louise Watson; sons, Benny and Gary Lynn and daughter, Mary Jane. Grandchildren are B.J. and Treslyn Link, Tandy Olmstead and Trey Marshall. Great-grandchildren are Amelia and Thatcher Link and Hannah OImstead.
Funeral service will be Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 1pm in the Chapel of Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Madison, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
