POOLE, Larry, 64, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN, after an extended illness. Larry was born January 12, 1950, in Portland, TN, the son of John C. "Preacher" Poole and Simelee Cook Poole. They moved to Ashland City in the early 1960s to work with Larry's uncle, Bill Kirby at Ashland City Supply later named Quality Plumbing which Preacher and Larry ran for several years. He is preceded in death by his father, John "Preacher" Poole. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Reatha Miles Poole; son, Sean Michael Poole; daughter, Alicia Poole Johnstone (Kris); grandson Elijah Clayson Johnstone; mother, /Simelee Cook Poole and brother, Hillous Ray "Petey" Poole (Cathy). Larry was a member of Ashland City Lodge 604 and the Ashland City Fire Department for several years. Visitation was held on Monday, June 23, 2014, from 2pm to 8pm with funeral on Tuesday, June 24th at 10am. Pallbearers were members of Ashland City Lodge 604. Honorary pallbearers were Franklin Adcock, Perry Bell, Rick Orr, Nicole Wahl, Don Walker, and the Ashland City Fire Department. Paul Robert Gupton conducted the service along with speakers Jody Cantrell, Bill Bragg and Don Walker. Burial followed in Bethlehem Cemetery where Masonic Service led by Ashland City Lodge 604.
