BATEY, Larry Ford, age 65, passed away on January 13, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ford and Mable Spann Batey and his stepson, Terry "Fireball" Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Betty Proctor Batey; son, Myles Batey; daughter, Shannon Hollis; stepson, Ricky Roberts; stepdaughter, Tracy Roberts; sister, Nancy (Ernie) Tilghman; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Batey was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He worked over thirty years for A.O. Smith, formerly State Industries. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 3pm to 7pm and on Tuesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Burial will follow in Jacksons Chapel Cemetery in Charlotte, TN.
