Mr. Kenneth Sterling, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was born in York County, South Carolina, on January 4, 1947, to Wendell B. Houston and Lula Sterling Parker. He worked as a chef for David Lipscomb College, The Radisson, The Double Tree and The Meadows Senior Community. Mr. Sterling was preceded in death by his father; wife, Clara Sterling; sister, Jean Parker; and grandchildren, Eric Crook and Tino Adkisson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Lula Sterling Parker; his sons, Kenneth (Keya) Sterling, Jr., Maurice (Sandra) Sterling and daughter-in-law-to-be, Angela Yvonne Dye, Terrence Adkisson; daughters, Sonya Sterling and Mimi (George) Adkisson; brothers, Leroy and Michael Parker; sisters, Darlene Reid, Teresa Talley and half-sister, Cathy Stein; grandson, Ernest Powell III and 10 additional grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 1:30pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery in the Bellsburg Community.
