Kenneth G. Bruce, Sr. age 75, born June 8, 1943, died January 4, 2019.
Mr. Bruce was a retired serviceman of the U.S. Army (SFC) and a Vietnam War Veteran. He afterward served in local law enforcement and then as a tool repair technician for A.O. Smith Company. He was a longtime member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church. He also served as a community volunteer.
Mr. Bruce was the son of the late Arther Guy and Mary Evelyn Bruce. He is survived by his wife, Connie Bruce; siblings, Jack (Carolyn) Bruce, Mary Guyanne Bruce; children, Robin (Barry) Ellis, Mary (Jack) Amburgey, and Kenneth (Tiffany) Bruce, Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 7th, at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church at 1pm with Brother Dwayne James and Brother Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation with the family will take place at Cheatham County Funeral Home on January 6th from 2pm until 7pm and on Monday at the church from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
