Joyce Louise Marie Alverson, age 54, passed away in her home in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 7, 1968, to Ronald Lashbrook and Hazel Beatrice (Peacher) Lashbrook. She was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. Joyce was a homemaker and loving wife. She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Lashbrook; brother, Lee Lashbrook; and grandson, Caleb Morgan. She is survived by her father, Ronnie Lashbrook (Judy); husband, James Alverson; son, Alex Wilson (Gabby); daughters, Elizabeth Forte (Chris), Megan Barnes, Samantha Wilson, Emily Wilson, and Trista Adams (Larry); brother, Ronald "Buster" Lashbrook (Nancy); sisters, Ella "Shorty" Lashbrook and Judy Lashbrook; and grandchildren, Haileah Wilson, Isabella Forte, MaKaylee Forte, Cadence Forte, Brooklyn Forte, Greyson Forte, Christyna Forte, Ava Barnes, Paris Batts, Makiah Barnes, Dylan Morgan, Samuel Wilson, Dakota Adams, Gaige Shadowens, and Madicyne Adams. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home at 5pm with Brother Paul Edwards officiating.
