Joseph "Joe" Ewing Odom, Jr., passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his home with his beloved wife and family. Joe was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 25, 1940, to the late Joseph Ewing Odom, Sr., and Ruby Odell (Meadows) Odom. He was a skilled carpenter. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard Odom, sisters, Shirley Capps, Christine Underwood, and Jean Capps. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Diane Odom; children, Missy Ann (Stacy) Odom Robertson, and Angela Diane Odom; grandchildren, Alexis Marie Ann Phillips, Abigail Nicole Kennedy Smith, Isabella Olivia Smith, and Emma Grace Robertson; brother, Odell Odom, sisters, Frances Underwood, and Patricia Martin. Funeral service will be Monday, October 23, 2023, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be David Finch, Stacy Robertson, Ricky Tomlin, Mitchell Cathey, Tracy Cathey, and Mike Cathey.
