Obituary

John David Deason, Jr., age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. John was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 15, 1937, to the late John D. Deason, Sr. and Evelyn Mae (Morris) Deason. He was of Catholic Faith and attended The Church of the Assumption and most recently St. Pius Church. He was a retired painter and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his sisters, Reba Bogle (Robert), Kay Bogle and Cecilia Binkley; nieces/nephews, Leonard Binkley (Becky), Maria Broussard (Paul), Theresa Smith (Randall), Tony Binkley (Candy), Shelly Rollins (Teddy), Anna Jones, Dawn Bogle (Anthony), Robert Bogle, Jr., (Tammy), Brian Bogle and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. His parents and life partner, Mary Katherine Sanders, precede him in death. Funeral service will be Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10 am in the Chapel of St. Pius Church with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, June 16th from 2pm to 6pm at the Cheatham County Funeral Home and Monday at the church from 9am until service hour of 10am. Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Broussard, Trent Bell, Mason Lackey, Seagram Harper, Landen Broussard, Eric Bogle, Terrance Oneal, and Leonard Binkley III.
