John H. Biggs, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Hillcrest Healthcare in Ashland City, Tennessee. John was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on September 17, 1939, to Joe C. Biggs and Serena Elizabeth Travis. He worked in general maintenance and retired from State Industries after 35 years. He was a volunteer fireman and worked with the rescue squad for many years. Mr. Biggs is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Shirley Vanice Biggs; son, Terry Wayne; brother, Richard Biggs; sisters, Sue Dunn and Nancy Sanders and daughter-in-law, Gena Biggs. He is survived by his wife, Peggy June Biggs; brothers, BF (Effie) Biggs, Joe (Gloria) Biggs, Roy Biggs, Fred (Pat) Biggs and Glenn (Sherry) Biggs; sisters, Shirley Louallen and Audrey Comperry; son, Roy Biggs; grandchildren, Tarron (Jessi) Biggs and Tashia Biggs; and a great grandchild, Ella Beth Biggs. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 3-7 pm and Friday, July 19, 2019, from 9-10 am at Cheatham County Funeral Home.
