Jewel Frazier Sanders passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012. She was born on May 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Inez Fambrough Frazier and Walter Guy Frazier. She was preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Stanley Sanders; her daughter, Judy Marie Sanders Walker; sisters, Grace Fielder and Ruby Bradley; brothers, Tyson, W.H., Charles and Buddy Frazier. Jewel was a graduate of Cheatham County High School and was retired from Acme Boot Company. She was a faithful member of the Cheap Hill Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Bryce (Jody) Sanders; grandsons, Dan Dowlen (Wendy), Rob Sanders (Dana) and Will Sanders; great-grand-daughters, Hannah and Haylee Dowlen; brother, Claude (Pat) Frazier; and sister, Pearl Frazier Wall. Funeral service will be held Monday, August 6, 2012, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Gaw officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from 4pm to 8pm and on Monday, August 6, 2012, from 9am until 11am. Burial will follow in Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Active pallbearers will be Dan Dowlen, Rob Sanders, Tommy Fortner, Derek Batts, Kenny Smock, and Eddie Steel. Honorary pallbearer in absentia is Will Sanders, Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
