Jerry Douglas Harris, age 90, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at The Waters of Cheatham in Ashland City, Tennessee. Jerry was born January 3, 1929, in Cheatham County, Tennessee, to the late Burgess and Eva M. Boyd Harris. Jerry worked for Bradley Sawmill before retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents; wives, Betty Jean, Blanche and Flora Nell Harris; sister, Camilla Pace; brother, George Lewis Harris. He is survived by his sons: Wayne, Dean and Chipper Harris; step-children, Russell, Ricky, Ronnie and Rex Boyd and June McCormick; brothers, Marcelle (Flossie) Harris; half-brother, Robin Harris; Step-Brother, Richard Harris; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Freddie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1st, from 3pm to 7pm and on Thursday from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
