HARRIS, Jennie Ruth (Reed), age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Jennie Ruth was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on November 16, 1931, to the late B.W. "Shorty" Reed and Eddie Lee Harris Reed. She was a lifelong member of Petway Church of Christ, a homemaker to her husband and family and from 1966-1990 was chief deputy clerk working alongside her husband in the Circuit Court Clerk Office. Jennie Ruth loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 65 years, Lloyd F. Harris. She is survived by her son, Lloyd Michael Harris, Sr.; daughter, Jennie Dolores Harris Moulton; brother, Willard Reed; sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Mays and Linda Joyce Holifield (John); five grandchildren, Jamie Franklin (Dana) Moulton, Lloyd Michael Harris, Jr; Jennie D'andrea (Cory) Felts, Summar (William) England, Tonya Davis; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Myles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the White/Reed Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, from 3pm to 7pm and on Wednesday before the service from 11am to service hour of 2pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Moulton, Blake Moulton, Seth Moulton, Richmond Flowers, Michael Harris, III, and Cory Felts. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Harris, Jr, Kaleb Ryan Barker, Levi Davis, Andrew England and Brandon Felts.
