Janice Carol Reed Phillips, age 65, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019, at The Waters of Cheatham in Ashland City, Tennessee. Janice was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on April 26, 1953, to the late Marvin and Maggie Pearl Nicholson Reed. She worked as the crossing guard for Cheatham County Schools and later at The Waters of Cheatham as a cook. Janice was known to many and will be greatly missed, especially her wonderful smile. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Trey Phillips; and daughter, Donna Phillips. She is survived by her aunt, Maggie Hudgens and many cousins and friends. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 17, 2019, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Penny Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, February 17th from 12noon until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Noe, Randy Noe, Steven Stratton, Kip Stratton, Grant Gibbs, Mark Polston, Gaylon Harris, Donnie Kemp and Tommy Johnson.
