SWIFT, James "Pete", Jr., age 60, departed this life on April 21, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Swift, Sr. and brother, Daniel Swift. He is survived by mother, Clara Ann Swaw Swift; wife, Diane Shores Swift; sons, Isaac (Sara) Swift and Ryan (Shanon) Taylor; daughter, Angela (Jason) Laney; brother, Randall Swift; sisters, Bunny Swift, Sherry Pentecost, Sondra (Mike) Balthrop and Velvet (Jerry) Primm; brother-in-law, Steve Pentecost; grandchildren, Madeline Taylor and Jacob Laney. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and served in the United States Army in Vietnam as well as Korea. Most recently, he worked for the State of Tennessee as an Assistant Director for the Department of Revenue and formerly for the Cheatham County Sheriff's Department. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cliett Goodpasture officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23rd and 24th, from 2pm to 7pm and on Thursday from 9am until service hour of 11am. Burial will follow in the Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery with family and friends service as pallbearers.
