James Ray Stewart
James Ray Stewart, age 69, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Community Church in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. James Ray was an over the road truck driver for over 20 years before retirement. He loved to eat, watch soaps on TV, and loved to participate with his church family. James Ray was preceded in death by his parents, James Howard and Callie Mai Stewart. He leaves to cherish his memories: two loving sisters, Gwendolyn Lundy and Angela Bell (Kelvin); five loving brothers, Richard Stewart (Cleo Dell), Leslie Stewart, James Stewart, Jr. (Chanta), Carl Stewart, and DickAdam Stewart (Karen); one loving son, James Ray Stewart, Jr. (Tina); three daughters, Tenita Mitchell (Tommy), Tonya Stewart, and Amanda Foote (Al Jarreau); six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, a loving girlfriend, Bridget Ballard, and special friend, Roger Morgan. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor John Dix officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm and Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 10am until the hour of service at 11am.
