WARD, James Stephen "Steve", age 64, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City, Tennessee. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee, on June 12, 1951, to James L. Ward and Martha Garner Ward. He worked as a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; his niece, Deborah Cartwright Ford; and step-granddaughter, Rebecca Rose Stirewalt. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ward; son, Wesley Ward; daughter, Wanda E. "Beth" Ward; three stepchildren, William John Hanson, Erica Hanson and Tracy Jo Hanson; sister, Wanda Gilbert (Harvill); 14 loving nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, from 3pm to 7pm and on Thursday before the service from 9am until service hour of 11am.
