James "Jim" K. Hardesty, age 84, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at HillCrest Healthcare on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. He was born in Livingston, Montana, on May 23, 1939 to the late Charles K. Hardesty and Margaret V. (Owens) Hardesty. He was a member of Ashland City Church of Christ. Jim served in the United States Army and later worked for State Industries. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Hardesty; wife, Fay (Binkley) Hardesty; and nephew, Michael Hooper. He is survived by his nephew, Eric Hooper; niece, Teresa Hooper; great nephews, Dustin Pruitt and Jason Hooper; great nieces, Carla Hooper and Alyssa McDaniel; great great nephew Austin Pruitt; and great great niece, Eva McDaniel. Memorial visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 12noon until 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
