James Capps Gowin Sr., age 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his residence in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was born in Dickson, Tennessee on December 24, 1958. He served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked for Contractors Tile and Marble as a granite and marble setter. James is preceded in death by his father, Dan Gowin Sr. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (McCoy) Gowin; mother, Evelyn (Parker) Gowin; son, James Gowin (Erica); daughters, Angel Gowin, Jessica Gowin, and Stephanie Gowin; brothers, Danny Gowin (Melinda), and William Gowin; sisters, Sherrie Young, and Claudia Dixon; and grandchildren, Christopher Gowin, Austin Lee Hunter, Austin Thompson, James Capps Gowin lll, Jacob Gowin, Noah Fakes, Hailey Fakes, and Eli Harness. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel with Terry Bear officiating. Visitation will be March 26 from 11am until the hour of service.
