James "Bill" Edward Cuff, age 87, passed away at his home on July 15, 2018. Bill was born in Jackson, Tennessee, on February 26, 1931, to the late George Oscar Cuff and Farris Edna Sanders Cuff. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Sears, working as a maintenance engineer for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Frances Allen. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Sue Cuff; sons, David Edward Cuff, James Daniel Cuff, and Stephen Dwight Cuff; sister, Dorothy Louise Helton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Bill will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Joe Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, from 3pm to 7pm and on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers are David Cuff, Danny Cuff, Jody Dale Bess, Paul Helton, John Helton, and Jimmy Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to your favorite charity.
