James Norman Austin, age 77, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on November 20, 2024, at his home. James was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 11, 1947, to the late James Austin and Jennie B. Hertzka Austin. He worked as a Tool and Dye Machinist for Vaughn Manufacturing for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Austin and Jennie B. Hertzka Austin. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemary Austin; sons, Kevin James Austin and Bryan William Austin; his brothers, Andrew Austin, Thomas Austin, and Phillip Austin; sister, Sandra Hudgens; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday, November 23rd, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Cheatham County Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Austin Family Cemetery with Chris Hampton officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Austin, Bryan Austin, Jason Hudgens, James Lee, John Austin, and Tom Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
