Jackie Story Miller Sr., age 77, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. Jackie was born in Asheville, North Carolina on October 28, 1942 to the late Jack Franklin Miller and Joan (Schell) Miller. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra "Sandy" K. Miller Schultz. Jackie worked as a shipyard engineer for Newport News Shipbuilding. He is survived by his wife, Waynette Powers Miller; son, Jack Miller Jr. (Harlen Crossen); daughter, Andi Miller-Cox (Daniel); brothers, Mike Miller (Joy) and Gary Miller (Debbie); grandson, Joe Miller. Visitation will be Monday June 22, 2020, from 3pm to 7pm. A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 2pm in Piney Grove Cemetery in Swannanoa, North Carolina.
