Moody, Jack, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2014. Jack was born March 19, 1932, to Denville and Connie Carr Moody. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife Claudiena Moody; sons, Mike Jones and Donnie (Gloria) Jones; daughter, Cheryl (Wayne) Simmons; grand- children, Jeff Simmons, Stratton Jones, Parker Jones, Grayson Jones, Todd Jones, and Shane Jones and 3 great-grand- children. Jack took early retirement from Kroger's as the Store Manager so he could spend his time working his farm and raising his cattle. He also enjoyed riding his horses and competing in various horse shows. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. David Royalty officiating. The family will receive friends 4 pm until 8 pm Sunday, 4 pm until 8 pm Monday, and from 10 am until the hour of service Tuesday. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Nashville, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Newsom, Frank Mayo, and David Mayo.
