Ira David Crowell, age 71, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Oak Pointe Assisted Living in Adams, Tennessee. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 17, 1952, to the late Thomas Crowell and Pauline (Nickens) Crowell. He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight. His passion was building engines and drag racing with his friends. David is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lynn Crowell; and brother, Steve Crowell. He is survived by his sons, Michael Crowell (Jeannine) and Jonathan Crowell (Tammy); brothers, Mark Crowell (Meg) and Paul Crowell (Gayle); and grandchildren, Tyler Joseph Crowell, Madison Lynn Swanson (Austin), and Joshua Lee Crowell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2p.m. Visitation before from 12noon to time of service. Interment follows in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, TN.
