Ima Jean (Meadows) Fogus, age 92, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on October 10, 1933, in White Bluff, Tennessee, to the late Pleas Green Meadows, Sr., and Ora Lee (Griffin) Meadows. She was a member of Ashland City Church of Christ. She did many things, but above all she was a homemaker. Ima Jean loved quilting, sewing, and cooking. She was very proud of her quilts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pleas Green Meadows, Sr., and Ora Lee Toler; beloved husband, Dewey Clifton Fogus; daughter, Wanda Faye Dawson, brother, Pleas Green Meadows, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Louise Taylor and Margaret Pauline Bassett; and grandson, Cory Lee Matlock. Ima Jean is survived by her son, Richard "Ricky" Dale Fogus; daughters, Judith Fogus (Ralph Jones) and Pamela Underhill; sister, Rachel Pruitt; grandchildren, Nakia Rose, Gabriel Underhill, and Joshua Dawson; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, Oakley and Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 3pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 3pm to 7pm and Wednesday, March 11, from 1pm until the service hour of 3pm.
