Hollis O. Gill, age 76, a member of the Church of Christ, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ettie Mae Osborne and James Ervin Gill. He is survived by his wife, Rose England Gill; sisters, Helen Dozier of Ashland City, TN, Dorothy Hunter of White Bluff, TN; brothers, Raymond (Mable) Gill of Ashland City, TN, and David (Katrina) Gill of Lyles, TN; nieces, Joyce Ann (Scott) Pittman, Lynn Gill, Shirley (Jay) Ponder, Cindy (Jeff) Burney, and Teresa (Christian) Klenk; nephews, Bill Garrett, John (Nancy) Hunter, and Jim Gill; special people: Anthony (Amber) England, Adam (Bethany) England, Ashley England, Holly (Russ) Russell and their four girls, Gillian, Katherine, Elizabeth and Caroline; Dalton Sensing and the two individuals he loved most, Darlene Hamilton and Andrea (Charles) Hand.

Funeral service will be Thursday, September 29, 2016, 1pm at Cheatham County Funeral Home with ministers, George Polk and Drake Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens in Dickson, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28th from 4pm to 8pm and on Thursday from 11am until service hour of 1pm.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Thomas Mayfield, Hardy Osborne, Johnny Primm, Bud Reed, Eugene Scott, and Bruce Williams. Active pallbearers are Jeff Burney, Lee Corlew, Bill Garrett, Jim Gill, John Hunter, and Jay Ponder.
