Herschel Ellis Nipper, Sr., age 81, passed away at his home on November 8, 2019. Herschel was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on June 23, 1938, to the late Herschel H. Nipper and Jewell Winfrey. Herschel was a United States Army veteran. He retired after 38 years from State Industries as an assembly line worker. Herschel is preceded in death by his parents, Herschel H. Nipper and Jewell Winfrey Nipper Gentry; half-brother, Robert "Bobby" Gentry; son, Jeffery Nipper, an infant son, and sister, Merrell Denson. He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Floria Bell Binkley Nipper; son, Herschel (Christy) Nipper, Jr.; daughters, Kimberly (Wayne) Clark, Teresa (Richard) Morris, and Lisa (Jason) Culver; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, November 11, 2019, at 2pm in the Friendship FWB Church Chapel with Brother Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship FWB Church Cemetery, Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 12noon to 5pm and on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the church from 12noon until the hour of service at 2pm. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
