Herbert Biggs, age 87, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on July 25, 1936, to the late Leonard Biggs and Luler (Taylor) Biggs. He owned and operated Herbert Biggs Excavating. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Luler Biggs; son, Christopher Biggs; daughter, Sue Broadway; brothers, infant Lawrence Biggs, and Louis Biggs; and sisters, Lilly Bell Biggs, Bessie Scruggs, Margaret Landon, Ruth Sanders, Ester Allen, Ada Charlton, and Ailene "Toad" Biggs. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gayle (Krantz) Biggs; sons, Jackie Biggs, Terry Krantz (Melinda), and Chris Krantz (Candy); daughter, Melody Groves; sister, Deaner Langley; godsons, Eric Newman and Ronnie Dickmeyer; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, February 9, 2024, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Earl and Vivian Krantz Cemetery in Joelton, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm and Friday, February 9, 2024, from 10am until the service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Krantz, Chris Krantz, Terry Michael Krantz, Ronnie Dickmeyer, Eric Newman, Adam Biggs, Tony Groves, and Justin Nicholson.
