STOKES, Helen Ophelia Reed, age 78, passed away at NHC HealthCare Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN, on April 29, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Wiseman and Ollie Louise Walker Wiseman; brother, Harold Wiseman; and sisters, Jean Baird and Shirley Branson. She is survived by her daughter, Nancie (Gary) Poland of Loretto, TN; sisters, Betty McCool, Carolyn (Raymond) Watson, Brenda Curtis, Kay Smith, Rita Richardson, Mary (Ed) Pitts; one grandchild, Matthew Holland; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 1 pm with Benny Anders officiating. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Visitation with the family will be Thursday before the service from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
