Helen Frances (Landrum) Sanders, age 86, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Robert W. Landrum and Frances (Harris) Landrum. Helen graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee and a Master's degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a beloved teacher, Food and Nutrition Director and a guidance counselor in the Putnam County School District in Palatka, Florida. She will forever be fondly remembered by the lives that she touched. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances Landrum. She is survived by her loving husband, L. J. Sanders; daughters, Margaret Vietti (Brian), Rebecca Mangum (Steve), and Jennifer Mayhood (Steve); dearly loved sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and David Read; grandchildren, Olivia Moree (Andy), Lydia Mayhood, and Ian Mayhood; and 3 step-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 1:30pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Dr. Kathy Gaines officiating. Friends may visit from 12:30pm until service hour of 1:30pm. Following the service, Helen will be laid to rest with her family in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
