PENTECOST, Harold Dean, Sr., age 83, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015. He was born on February 22, 1932, to Ed Pentecost and Leila Stratton Pentecost. He was a member of the Midway Church of Christ in Charlotte, Tennessee; a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart Medal for being wounded in combat; and worked and retired from State Industries in Ashland City, Tennessee. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children: Sarah Jackson Pentecost; wife, Lorene Pentecost; daughters, Faye Pentecost Shaver and Amber Pentecost Baker; sister, Willie V. Lance; and granddaughters, Melissa Shaver McCoy, Brandi Meshelle Shaver Stewart, and Katie Olivia Baker. He is survived by his sons: Harold Dean Pentecost, Jr., and Derek Pentecost (Melba); daughters, Shelley Pentecost DeLoach (William), Candy Pentecost Crow (Alan), Amy Pentecost Banes (Randy); stepchildren, James Adcock and Jenny Adcock Balthrop; brother, Terry Pentecost; sister, Joan Keown; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and his best friend, Wendell Bess. A memorial service for Harold will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at the Midway Church of Christ in Charlotte, Tennessee, with Brother Bill Shouse officiating.
