MAYO, Harold Douglas, age 72, passed away on November 15, 2015, at his home. Harold was born on January 6, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Howard Bruce Mayo and Rowena Morris Mayo. Harold was a graduate of Cheatham County High School. He was of Church of Christ Faith and worked and retired from State Industries/A.O. Smith, working as a supervisor. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Mayo; brother, Roger Mayo; and sister, Mavis Perry. He is survived by his son, Jeff Mayo (Ronda); daughter, Tammy Hester (Randy); stepchildren, Monica Ackerman (Anthony), Kenny Morris (Michelle), Steven Hale (Jessica), and Angie Harvey; brothers, Danny Mayo (Linda), Ronnie Mayo (Belinda), Tommy Mayo (Neva), and Ricky Mayo (Betty); 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Myers officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 3pm to 7pm and on Wednesday from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
