Grady Paul Hardin, Sr., age 77, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Grady was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, on July 3, 1941, to the late Joe Franklin Hardin, Sr., and Annie Travis Hardin Krantz. He was a member of the Cheap Hill Church of Christ, a United States Navy Veteran and retired from NES as a street lighting supervisor. Grady was an avid bowler and golfer and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Grady is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Jean Shivers Hardin; brothers; Joe Franklin Hardin, Jr., and Doyle Hardin. He is survived by his wife, Gail Hardin; children, Paul and Pam Hardin, Christy and Rich McDonald and Lesley and Randy Pedigo; brother, David Hardin; sister, Carolyn Thompson; grandchildren: Kenneth and Ashley Lumbert, John and Brittney Jackson, Dylan Rice, Amber Hardin, Jessica Hardin, and Randi Pedigo; great-grandchildren, Jenny Johnson, Emily Lumbert, Kaleb Lumbert, and Hayden Rice. Funeral service will be Friday, February 22, 2019, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Randy Hester officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21st from 12noon until 7pm and on Friday, February 22nd from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be John Jackson, Dylan Rice, Kenneth Lumbert, Ricky Clouse, Danny Ray Clouse, and Mike Hardin.
