Williams, Glendow B. "G.B.", age 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on January 18, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Glendow B. Williams, Sr., and Vallie Mae Frazier Williams. He was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the Petway Church of Christ, worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service until retirement and was a gentlemen farmer following retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean F. Williams; daughter, Susan Ward Pruett; and brother, David Williams. He is survived by his sons: Mike (Karen) Ward, Rev, Andrew (Leigh Ann) Ward, and Jack L. (Patricia) Ward, III; sisters, Nancy (Earl) Batson and Francis Greathouse; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 6:30pm with Rev. Andrew Ward and Bro. Miles Williams officiating.
