Glendon "Waydell" Williams, age 86, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020, at his home in Chapmansboro, Tn. Waydell was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, on June 10, 1934, to the late Lillard Williams and Gracie Reeves Williams. Waydell was a graduate of Cheatham County High School, and after graduating served in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Policeman during the Korean Conflict. He worked for AVCO in the wing section and later was self-employed in construction. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Garvis Williams; sister, Joyce Hollis; and grandson, Tyler Williams. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Wayman Williams; son, Todd (Donna)Williams; sisters, Macellene (Billy) Binkley and Voncile Tuttle; grandchildren, Arianna and Alexis Williams; and great-grandchildren; Braden Williams, Aliayah Grace Williams, and Amberly Faith Chapman. Funeral service will be Monday, August 10,2020 at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
