NICHOLSON, Gid A., age 83, of Chapmansboro, TN, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wm. Scott and Viva Josephine Smith Nicholson; and son, David Nicholson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Wayman Nicholson; son, Steve (Jeana) Nicholson; daughter, Deborah (Darrell) Shearron and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Nicholson was a farmer and will be missed greatly by his family and numerous friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4pm to 7pm and on Tuesday from 10am until service hour of 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral expenses to Cheatham County Funeral Home.
