BIGGS, GENA BETH, age 52, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017. Gena was born in Laredo, Texas on April 17, 1964. She was a graduate from Cheatham County Central High in 1982 and then went on to receive a degree from Cosmetology School. She worked as a hairdresser for 13 years in Cheatham County. She encountered many citizens in this community and was well loved. She has been a loving wife for 35 years and an outstanding mother to her two children. Gena was preceded in death by her parents; Wesley E. Hodson and Birtie Melvine "Big Mama" Holland Hodson. She is survived by her husband, Roy Biggs; her children, Tarron Biggs (Jessie Poole) and Tashia Biggs (Hannah Tweedy). Funeral service will be Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bart Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 12pm to 8pm and visitation will resume on Thursday from 10am until service hour of 1:30 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Johnson, Freddie Biggs, Josh Weaver, Frankie Brooks, Tony Emberton and L.A. Altom. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Simmons and Tyler Crowell.
