SMITH, Frances, age 95, passed away on July 13, 2014, at Grace Manor in Nashville, TN. She was born on November 24, 1918, the daughter of Hutton G. Shearon and Effie Elmer Basford Shearon. She was retired from the Revenue Department of the State of Tennessee and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant View for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey N. Smith and her two brothers, H.G. Shearon and Tommy Shearon. She is survived by her son Garry (Stephanie) Smith; her daughter, Renee Smith Kelley; brothers, Wayne (Glenda) Shearon, Sr., and Jimmy (Shelley) Shearon, Sr.; one grandchild, Marsha (Gary) Garrett and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Logan Garrett. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory's Cemetery in Chapmansboro, TN, with nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 14th from 6pm to 8pm and on Tuesday from 9am until service hour of 11am.
