Frances Marzee Skelton, age 82, was born August 18, 1939, in Lynnville, Tennessee, to the late Eugene H. Allen and Eleanor W. (Wilson) Allen. She moved to Ashland City, where she and her husband of 57 years, Osteen, raised their family, and lived the reminder of their life. Marzee worked for the Cheatham County Health Department, Dixieland/Melton Real Estate, the accounting department for Nabisco, and for Jimmy Allen State Farm Insurance. She was a dedicated farmer alongside her husband, an avid softball player, coach and umpire. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Eleanor Allen; husband, Thomas Osteen Skelton; brother, Gene Allen; and grandson Justin Ferguson. She is survived by her children, Darryl (Teresa) Skelton; daughters, Susan (Roger) Robinson, Janice Jones, and Marsha Kimsey; 6 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee.
