Flora Mae Groves, age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Flora was born on May 13, 1926, in Dickson County, Tennessee, to the late Isaac T. Christy and Alice Reynolds Christy. She was a member of Battle Creek Baptist Church and was a housewife and mother to her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Raymond Groves; nephew, Terry Stewart; daughter, Bonnie Kay Groves; siblings: Kathryn Christy, Woodrow Christy, Nesbitt Christy and Baxter Christy. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mike) Mason; grandson, Troy (Heather) Mason and 4 great-grandchildren, Karah, Emma, Lila and Elsa. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 26th at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with David Apple officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Friends may visit the family on Monday, June 25th from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, June 26th from 12noon until service hour of 2pm.
