Fay Binkley Hardesty, age 81, of Cheatham County, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Fay was born on March 28, 1941 in Ashland City, Tennessee, to Cap Binkley and Ruby Harris Binkley. She was a retired administrator for the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue for 47 years. Fay was a member of Ashland City Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lawrence Binkley Jr.; sister, Margaret Hooper; and nephew, Michael Hooper. She is survived by her husband, Jim Hardesty; nephew, Eric Hooper; niece, Teresa Hooper; great-nieces, Carla Hooper and Alyssa Pruitt; great-nephews, Dustin Pruitt and Jason Hooper; great-great niece, Eva McDaniel; and her great-great nephew, Austin Pruitt. Graveside service for Fay will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1pm in Forest Hill Cemetery with Brother Drake Jenkins officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Hooper, Dustin Pruitt, Sylvester Hudson, Jimbo Reed, Ricky Mitchell, and Brandon Reed.
