EVELYN "DENA" RUTLEDGE was born February 28, 1951, to the late George V. Rutledge and Jessie Mae Rutledge in Ashland City, Tennessee.
She was educated in the Cheatham County School System for both elementary and high school.
Dena professed her hope in Christ at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dickson County, Tennessee, where she was a member for many years.
In recent years, her health declined and she was remitted to several homes including the Nashville Community Care at Bordeaux. She peacefully passed away on November 10, 2017, and will always be loved and remembered by her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, George V. Rutledge; her mother, Jessie Mae Rutledge, and her brother, George A. Rutledge. She is survived by her sister, Mamie Shearon; her nephew, Michael Shearon and two nieces, Vanda Shearon and Vanessa (Jeff) Gossett and great-niece, Taylor Shearon, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
