Obituary

FRIEDBERG, Eva Marie Nickens, age 91, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born April 11, 1924, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Ira Nickens and Maudie Barnes Nickens. She was a member of Scottsboro Church of Christ and worked and retired as a registered nurse from Metro General Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sam Friedberg. She is survived by her sons, John "Barney" (Connie) Friedberg, Kenny (Sheila) Friedberg, and John W. Friedberg; sister, Ellie Mai Richardson; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother John Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Dozier Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday before the service from 11am until 2pm.
