Elizabeth Jane Herstek (Libby) passed away in the wee hours of May 10, 2025. She died in her sleep peacefully, as she would have wanted. Libby was born in Drakesboro, Kentucky on December 22, 1936, to parents Richard Lee and Augusta Mae Hill. She attended school in that town, graduating from Drakesboro High School. Libby moved to Ashland City in 1975, and both her children attended local schools. She worked for several years at both The Fashion Gallery and Williams Jewelers. She and Ray enjoyed 65 years of marriage, some ups, some downs, but all done happily. For quite a few years Libby was involved with the American Contract Bridge League, where she eventually earned the title of Lite Master, an honorable feat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Hill; and sisters, Emma Jean Fleming and Velma Cottrell. She is survived by her husband, Ray; daughter, Lisa Moore (Jim); son, Rich Herstek (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Jordan Herstek (Christian) and Scott Herstek (Heidi). Libby will be cremated as per her wishes. There will be no viewing or services. Wherever Heaven is, she will definitely be residing there immediately.
