Sherrill, Eli Matthew, age 33, passed away December 25,2016. He was born on February 23, 1983, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was employed by Olympian as a foreman in the carpentry industry. He was known as a hard worker and was often praised for his beautiful skills as a carpenter. He was married and has two children. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Patricia Zeller, Sadira Wright, Mary and Slayton Forsythe Sr. and Jackie McCutcheon. He is survived by his parents; Slayton and Margie Forsythe and Charles Sherrill, Jr.; his wife, Christy Davis Sherrill; his children, Eli S. Sherrill and Scott Crowson; brother, David Britton; sister, Misty Forsythe; in-laws, Scott and Cammy Davis, great-grandfathers, Louis Wright, Charles Sherrill, Sr; great-grandmother, Sylvia Winkle; an honorary granddaughter, Chelby Bratcher and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be Friday, December 30, 2016, at 1:00 pm, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow the in the Joelton Hills Memory Gardens in Joelton, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be at the Cheatham County Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29th, from 2pm to 8pm and Friday 10am to 1pm. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
