ELEANOR W. ALLEN, age 103, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017. Eleanor was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee, on September 3, 1914, to the late Charles Walter Wilson and Esther Irene Skelton Wilson. She was a member of United Church of God and a retired store owner. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene H. Allen; brothers, Charles Walter Wilson, Jr, and Richard Wilson; sisters, Betty Jo Wilson and Tommie Christian; and great grandchildren, Justin Ferguson and Jonathan Landers. Eleanor is survived by her two children: Gene Allen and Marzee Skelton; six grandchildren: Tina Landers, Sheila (Greg) Wilson, Darryl (Teresa) Skelton, Janice Jones, Marsha Kimsey, Susan (Roger) Robinson; and nine great-grandchildren: Nathan Skelton, Adam Jones, Carter Jones, Kiana Kimsey, Raegan Kimsey, Jessica Juarez, Kristen Buntin, Tyler Wilson and Sara Wilson. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bill Vernich officiating. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee, following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 18th from 5pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, December 19th from 9am until service hour of 11am.
