Edward Daniel (Danny) Hopwood

Born to the late Thomas R. Hopwood and Mary Tarpy Hopwood in Nashville TN. Also preceded in death by sister, Mary Josephine Hopwood and brother Bernie Hopwood.

Survived by wife of 44 years, Kay Gibson Hopwood; five children: Mary Jo Davenport (Bobby), Corey, Jimmy (Billie Ballard), Tricia Hopwood Ludin (Jeremy Johnson), Regina Hopwood Cardwell (Kevin); 14 Grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Jean Hopwood, Judy Johnson, Patsy Slayden, Sherrie (Mark) Campbell; brothers: Tommy Hopwood (Sharon), Johnny Hopwood, Frankie Hopwood (Nancy), Larry Hopwood (Tracey), and Jerry Hopwood

Danny was a Charter Member of Knights of Columbus Council 11742 at St Martha's Catholic Church in Ashland City, TN. He was a 1968 graduate of Father Ryan High School and a retired Diesel Mechanic for B&M Trucking in Gallatin, TN.

Funeral service to be conducted by Father Peter Do Quang Chau, the family's priest for 40 years, at Cheatham County Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 11am.
Interment will follow in St Patrick Cemetery in McEwen, Tennessee, at 2pm. Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2021, from 3pm to 7pm and on Tuesday, August 31st, from 9am until service hour of 11am.

Serving as active pallbearers: Corey & Jimmy Hopwood, Nic Kimbrough, Daniel Hopwood, Clark Hopwood, Thomas Ludin, Brock Cardwell, Jason Hopwood. Honorary pallbearers are JJ Johnson and members of Knights of Columbus Council 11742.
