Obituary

BELL, Edvena Elizabeth, age 81, left to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Edvena was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on September 7, 1937, to the late Martin Bell and Ora Lee Collier Bell. Edvena was a member of the Mt. Zion AME Church, a member of the graduating class of 1959 at Hampton High School, a caregiver to her family and mother to many. She will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Marshall Bell; and sisters, Ellen Oakley, Eddie Mai Collier, Annie Bowers, and Georgia Ellis. She is survived by her daughter, Hope Bell; sister, Lunie Nesbitt; devoted grandson, Rashard Bell; grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchell, Laurice Mitchell, and Danielle Helm. Funeral service for Edvena will be Saturday, September 29, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Frankie Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion AME Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 29, from 11am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as active pallbearers will be Rashard Bell, Jeremy Mitchell, Tyler Adkisson, Kenneth Nesbitt, Nick Rayborn, George Newsome, and Quinten Adkisson.
